Sabo: Dynamo is complete chaos. I can’t mark any of the players from the Kyiv club with a “plus” sign.

The Kiev team suffered another defeat in the UPL

Former mentor Dynamo and the Ukrainian national team Jozsef Szabo commented on the defeat of the capital club (0:1) in the game with Dnepr-1 in the 11th round of the UPL. Separately, Sabo spoke flatteringly about the work of Dnepr coach Yuri Maksimov.

“At the very beginning of the match, I expected that there would be productive football, because both one and the other team were pressing and had half-chances. So I waited 2:2. But it turned out that Dnepr-1 scored and dried up the game.”

“Dynamo players always want to break through the center of the field, where there is a concentration of opponents. There you can score only with one touch. Dynamo’s trademark flank attacks with runs – there were a couple, but no one in the center reacted to these passes. You can’t do that – only through the center.”

“Buyalsky beats and goes to the center. Why can’t you go along the flanks? Make a run at speed with the next pass to the center, not necessarily cross. But there is none of this. Complete chaos. I can’t mark any of the Dynamo players with a “plus” sign.

“I’m rooting for Maksimov. Even when Dnepr-1 was looking for a coach, I said that Maksimov was a good option. Yura was a good football player with character. So he is a coach with character. He must have discipline in the first place – both on the field and in everyday life. So he is slowly getting it right. This is noticeable in defense – the team consistently keeps a clean sheet. God grant that this continues.”

Dynamo lost the second match in a row in the UPL. After eight matches played, Mircea Lucescu’s team is in seventh place in the standings. Dnepr-1 scored 18 points and moved to sixth position.

In the next round of the Ukrainian championship, Dynamo will play against Kolos, and Dnepr-1 will play with Vorskla.
