The midfielder’s goal brought Dnepr-1 a minimal victory over Dynamo
Player Dnepra-1 Alexey Gutsulyak commented on the victory over Dynamo (1:0) in the 11th round of the UPL. According to Gutsulyak, the Kiev club failed to match anything with the Dnipro team’s pre-planned tactics for the reporting match.
“We were well prepared for the game, we knew that the opponent would attack more. We moved back, but took advantage of our own chance and scored a goal. Perhaps somewhere in the second half the Kiev team outnumbered us, but we managed to win. The main thing for us is three points.”
“We are not an easy team. We finished the last championship in second place and know how to overcome pressure. We played our football calmly, so there’s nothing special here.”
“Our tactic was to act more aggressively at first, then retreat. We did all this, that’s why it gave results. We move on from match to match. We have a difficult away route ahead of us, along which we need to take maximum points.”
The 25-year-old midfielder’s goal was the winning one in the match against Dynamo. In total, Gutsulyak scored two goals and one assist in 13 matches for Dnepr-1 in all tournaments this season.
