Former Spartak Moscow midfielder Alexander Mostovoy commented on the possible departure of the Russian midfielder Alexandra Golovin of Monaco.
Golovin scored a double on Sunday in the match of the 9th day of the French championship against Metz and brought victory to the Monegasques with a score of 2:1. The midfielder took 37th place in the list of Monaco’s top scorers, scoring the team’s 28th and 29th goals. The Russian beat Thierry Henry, Bernardo Silva and Kylian Mbappe.
Monaco is at the top of the Ligue 1 standings with 20 points.
— Has Golovin outgrown Monaco? I can’t say that’s really the case, because the team is top of the Ligue 1 table. Where should he go? The same Chelsea, which occupies tenth place in the Premier League? Borussia Dortmund are no better than their current team. Milan, of course, have a higher status, but they only won the title last year.
I’m not saying that there are really strong top clubs, but we can talk about it when there is substantial interest,” Mostovoy quotes RT.
