The Ukrainian paired with the Norwegian Eikeri lost in two sets to the duet from China
Ukrainian tennis player Lyudmila Kichenok had a bad start in the doubles tournament WTA Elite Trophywhich takes place in Zhuhai, China.
Lyudmila, paired with Norwegian tennis player Ulrikke Eikeri, lost to the Chinese tandem of Wang Xiyu/Xu Yifan in the first match of the group stage.
The two-set match lasted one hour and 16 minutes. In the first game for Lyudmila and Ulrikke, seeded third at the tournament, the eighth game became fatal, which they lost dry on their serve. In the second set, the Chinese made two more breaks and won a convincing victory.
On the morning of October 25, the Ukrainian-Norwegian duo will meet the pair Miyu Kato / Aldila Sutjiadi (Japan / Indonesia). Only the group winner will advance to the finals.
