The head coach of Valencia positively assessed the actions of the Ukrainian striker, who came on as a substitute.
Head coach Valencia Ruben Baraja commented on the game of the Ukrainian forward Roman Yaremchuk in the match Examples against Cadiz (2:0).
“When he came on as a substitute, he played well. He did what he had to do. Roman’s task was to go deep into the field and look for a place to make a dash. It’s a pity that his goal wasn’t counted, it would have been the boost he needed. He is a player who can give us a lot by finishing crosses.”
Let us remind you that on October 23, in the final match of the 10th round of the Spanish Championship, Valencia beat Cadiz at home, playing a half-time in the majority.
Yaremchuk came on as a substitute in the 71st minute. The match with Cadiz was the fourth for the Ukrainian as part of the Bats. In the 78th minute, Yaremchuk, having successfully positioned himself, finished off Jose Luis Gaia’s cross with an accurate header. But the Ukrainian’s debut goal in Spain was not destined to happen – the referees recorded an offside.
Previously, Baraja said that he wants to see “the best version of Yaremchuk, which will help Valencia,” as soon as possible.
Bats, having scored 14 points, are in eighth place in La Liga. In the next match, Valencia will play away at Athletic on October 29.
