President of Palm trees, Leila Pereira was the target of questions from opponents during a meeting of the club’s Deliberative Council this Monday, 23rd. Opposition members were given five minutes each to speak and rebut the alviverde leader.
According to information from “GE”, the meeting discussed the conflicts of interest between Palmeiras and Leila’s companies, the club’s finances, ticket prices and the negative repercussions of the president’s press conference, which took place on the 11th.
After questioning from Palmeiras’ advisors, the president of the São Paulo club spoke out and responded to the points raised. In a speech, Leila Pereira lamented the “creation of crisis” behind the scenes at Verdão.
Regarding the issue of hiring, Leila lamented to “GE” the moment of red light and asked the advisors “not to believe what the press says”. Despite this, she recognized Palmeiras’ current phase.
Protests
The organized fans once again protested against the Alviverde board at the club’s headquarters. Before the deliberative council meeting, a group from “Mancha Verde” criticized Leila Pereira. The demonstrations featured banners that said: “Is your vote worth a pizza?”, “Dictatorship in the SEP?”, “Con$elho sold”, “Owned palm trees” and “Counselors, the SEP started in 2015?”.
Leila, fulfill your role! Take the plane and help Abel”, shouted the fans.
