Organized fans meet Santos squad after 7-1

Two days after the 7-1 defeat to Internacional, members of Santos’ main organized fans had a meeting with the São Paulo club’s squad

After a historic negative result against Internationalmembers of the main organized fans of the Santos had a meeting with the team’s cast at CT King Pelé, this Tuesday, 24. Two days after Colorado’s resounding 7-1, fans met with Peixão’s athletes. In an official statement, the organization called the defeat a “disgrace”.

Despite the revolt, the organization’s position was one of understanding. Going through a difficult time, fans promised to continue supporting the club, but understand that a situation like this cannot happen. “This morning, Torcida Jovem do Santos was present at CT Rei Pelé, through current and historical leaders, to speak with players and the coaching staff after Sunday’s embarrassment, where we expressed complete outrage at the situation”, said an official statement from ‘Torcida Jovem’.

Previously, in August this year, a group of fans had a similar meeting with Santos players, who were about to return to the public at the Vila Belmiro. At that moment, the fans said they would support the team until the end of the Brasileirão, a position that must be maintained.

“We know that defeats happen, even at home, as was the case last week, and yet we maintain our support until the last athlete leaves the field. However, a situation like this is completely impossible in any scenario. It was highlighted, looking with manliness into the eyes of everyone involved, that there is no room for occasions like this at Santos”published.

At first, the fans’ idea is to help the group regain confidence. Therefore, the organization does not believe that undermining the cast and protests of revolt are the way forward.
