Ginzburg’s team lost the first quarter, but then managed to seize the initiative
Prometheus in Ljubljana won a victory over Olympia in the fourth round match of Group A Eurocup – 90:83.
The Slovenian team dominated the first quarter and won it quite confidently – 26:18.
But gradually the representative of Ukraine managed to turn the tide of the game. Prometheus took the lead for the first time in the second half of the second quarter. By the big break, the guests had a one-possession advantage – 47:45.
In the next segment, Ronen Ginzburg’s team managed to increase their advantage and started the final quarter with a +7 advantage. The hosts desperately resisted and almost equalized the score, but still the finish remained with Prometheus.
Having won their second victory in four matches, Ginzburg’s team rose to fifth place in Group A.
Prometheus will play the next match on October 29 against VEF Riga in LEBL. On November 1, the Ukrainian team will play in the Eurocup with the leader of Group A Paris.
