Athletistic/Football. Russia’s Emeritus coach Valery Nepomnyashchy has said the RFU could join the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in November or December this year.

The specialist called for patience.

“What could a possible transition to Asia bring to our teams or the Russian national team? There are three specific points. Firstly, there will be only three or four countries that can be competitive against us. Here we can cite South Korea, Australia and Iran.

Secondly, participation in European Cups always generates commercial profits, the AFC is not as rich as UEFA and simply will not be profitable. I think it’s not worth taking risks and it’s better to be patient,” Nepomniachtchi said, as quoted by RT.
