Athletistic/Football. RFU head Alexander Dyukov noted that the issue of transferring the union to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) was not discussed at the October 26 executive committee meeting.
According to Dyukov, the issue will be considered in November or December.
“As for the possibility of joining the AFK, it exists. Consultations will take place in the near future, after which this issue will be considered at a meeting of the executive committee in November or December,” SE Dyukov quotes.
Russian clubs and national teams have been suspended from international tournaments under the auspices of FIFA and UEFA since February 2022.
