The executive committee of the Bulgarian Football Union has decided to early terminate the contract with the head coach of the national team Mladen Krstajic, the union’s press service reports.
Previously, the Bulgarian national team lost its chance to qualify for the 2024 European Championship.
“In addition to the positive processes related to the rejuvenation of the team and good performances in individual matches under the leadership of the Serbian specialist, the main reason for the separation of the coaching team was considered the unsatisfactory results in qualifications Europeans”, declared the press. said the press release.
The name of the new head coach of the Bulgarian national team will be known on November 1, when his appointment will be announced at an official press conference.
Former Yugoslav international Krstajic took over as head of the Bulgarian national team in July 2022, signing a two-year contract.
