Zenit striker Ivan Sergeev spoke about the fight for the RPL WORLD championship this season.
The first place in the RPL ranking is occupied by Krasnodar, which scored 28 points in 12 rounds. Zenit is second with 23 points.
— Let’s talk a little about current Zenit. In 11 RPL matches, the team lost three times, more than in the entire last season. What is happening?
“You’re all asking the same question: ‘What’s wrong?’ Everything is fine. It’s football, it’s life. There is still more than half of the championship left, everything can still be changed. There is no panic within the team. So don’t be dramatic.

– What should I do about this? (Laughs.) We have no self-confidence – we work the same way as before. I repeat, there are still many matches to come. Any of the top eight teams can compete for the championship. Not just Krasnodar, which comes first. Tomorrow another team will take Krasnodar’s place and you will make them champions. But that’s not how it works,” Sergeev said, as quoted by Sport24.
