Irina Bondar won silver, Liliya Malanchuk, Yulia Leskovets and Irina Zabolotskaya won bronze medals
Team Ukraine won four medals on the last day of the women’s competition at 2023 World Youth Wrestling Championship.
Irina Bondar In the category up to 62 kilograms she won a silver award. In the final, the Ukrainian lost to Yuzuka Inagaki from Japan (0:4).
Three more Ukrainian women won bronze medals. Liliya Malanchuk distinguished herself in the category up to 53 kg, Yulia Leskovets won an award in the category up to 65 kg, Irina Zabolotskaya – weighing up to 72 kilograms.
The Ukrainian women’s team took second place in the team competition. The Ukrainians have seven medals. A day earlier, Solomiya Vinnik became the world champion, Manola Skobelskaya and Anastasia Alpeeva won bronze medals.
The 2023 U-23 World Cup takes place in the Albanian capital Tirana from October 23 to 29. The final two days will feature Greco-Roman wrestling competitions.
