Krylia Sovetov goalkeeper admitted to fouling an Orenburg player in the penalty area.

Krylia Sovetov goalkeeper Bogdan Ovsiannikov said he had committed a foul on Orenburg striker Vladimir Obukhov and did not understand why the referee canceled the awarded penalty.

The meeting of the 13th round of the MIR RPL in Samara ended with a score of 1:1. In the 80th minute, the chief referee of the match, Rafael Shafeev, awarded a penalty for Ovsyannikov’s foul on Obukhov, but after video viewing he reversed his decision and punished the striker with a yellow card for simulation.

— I touched him (Obukhov), but I think they saw it as offside. And then they gave me a yellow card. I don’t know why we didn’t see it, maybe it was fog. They say you can’t see anything on loop either. A field was visible nearby, but the other half of the field was invisible due to the fog.

In such a situation, it was better to try to play the ball low, to play football. In the second half it didn’t work very well, but in the end they stopped playing. “We will look into the matter,” reports the correspondent, according to Ovsyannikov’s words.
