Venice, Vanoli: “Our project will have to continue step by step, without rushing”

On the eve of the eleventh round of Serie B of the 2023/24 season, in which Venice will meet Pisa tomorrow at 16:15 at the Pier Luigi Penzo Stadium, the coach of the orange-greens, Paolo Vanoli, analyzed the moment of the team and the opponent.

“Tomorrow I will bring Yajalo to the bench. I think he is a very important player on the field, but also for the group. It is right that little by little he begins to re-experience the feeling of being part of the team in every way. Tomorrow we face Pisa, a strong, well organized team with quality players who will beat this man. They will of course be angry after the last minute defeat to Lecco, but we will be angry too, it will be a good match. We were very pleased to see the President next to the team these days, in which he was next to us and followed the training. I believe he can teach us a lot and is a great motivator for the team. At the press conference he made it very clear that he wants to find new investors for further improvements, and for that we have to thank him. We certainly have a president who is in love with this city and this club.

We know that our project will have to continue step by step, without rushing. The way forward is to create a strong structure and maintain it. Today we have a magnificent sports center where we can train, and in the future we will have a new stadium that will become a home for our fans; we can only thank the president for what he is doing. I need to think about the technical aspect, but I would certainly like to be aware of the corporate vision, restructuring and growth path of the club. I am proud to have contributed to the unity of the club and the fans, two components that can never be separated. This team needs to improve on what they did last year, but I want to take it game by game and see at the end of the first round what we have achieved. The match against Reggiana was another lesson that we must remember: there were too many distractions caused by a number of factors. We lacked the determination and focus to equalize, if we want to remain at a high level we cannot afford to be distracted on and off the pitch.”
