According to coach Veres, his team is “on the right track”
Head coach Veresa Sergey Lavrinenko commented on his team’s away draw with Let’s go in the 12th round match UPL.
“We came here only for victory. And today we had every chance to get three points. Implementation failed.”
“I’m happy with the game. Like all the guys. We had enough chances to close this match in advance. Unfortunately, it’s a draw, which is now unfavorable for both teams.”
“Even before the break there was a post, there was a one-on-one situation, the opposing goalkeeper also played very well. Today I saw the team on the field, the character, the desire. I hope this match will be a turning point for us in the season. Because the players work great in training, but somewhere they lost confidence under psychological pressure.”
“I see that we are on the right track and the team is listening to our ideas. We hope we continue to get stronger every day.”
Let us remind you that Minaj (the main outsider of the championship) and Veres played in a goalless draw (0:0). This result did not allow the Rivne team to leave penultimate place. Lavrinenko’s team scored 7 points and won only one victory in 11 matches (in the sixth round over Chernomorets).
Earlier, Yuri Gabovda, who recently became the acting sports director of Veres, denied rumors that Sergei Lavrinenko was threatened with resignation in the event of an unsuccessful result against Minaya.
Next Sunday, November 5, Veres will host Zorya as part of the 13th round of the Ukrainian Premier League. The victory will allow the hosts to overtake the Lugansk team, who have 9 scoring points.
