Jose Boto: Benfica will sell Trubin in an easier way than Inter

The Ukrainian fits perfectly into the playing scheme of the Portuguese giants

Former director of Shakhtar’s breeding department Jose Boto told the details of the negotiations and the transfer of the Ukrainian goalkeeper Shakhtar Anatoly Trubin to Portuguese Benfica.

“If I made a decision on Trubin, I would also pay 10 million euros for him. Shakhtar asked Inter for much more, but Benfica will sell Trubin in an easier way than Inter. That’s the kind of goalie the Eagles need.”

“I worked with Anatoly at Shakhtar, but he didn’t have that kind of pressure here. Now they are paying a lot of attention to him and this will benefit Trubin in his future career.”

Trubin officially transferred to Benfica on August 10. His transfer cost the Lisbon giant 10 million euros. The miner can receive another 1 million euros in the form of bonuses. The Pitmen will also receive 40% of Benfica’s net income upon subsequent resale of the goalkeeper.

The Ukrainian has already played in eight matches for Benfica in all tournaments this season. In the national championship, the goalkeeper conceded three goals in five games, saving two penalties.

Benfica is in first place in the Portuguese Championship standings. In the group stage of the Champions League, Trubin’s team did not score a single point in three games.
