For the third year in a row, the Copa Trophy goes to a football player from the Spanish giants
Midfielder of Real Madrid Jude Bellingham recognized best young player of 2023.
The Englishman was ahead of several top-level performers in the Kop Trophy voting, including last year’s winner Gavi (5th place), another Barcelona player Pedri (3rd), as well as teammate Eduardo Camavinga (4th) and a representative of Bayern Munich Jamal Musial (No. 2), who finished third in 2022.
20-year-old Bellingham in the past year became the vice-champion of Germany as part of Borussia Dortmund, was recognized as the best player of the season in the Bundesliga, and after moving to Real Madrid he already received the award for the best footballer of the month in La Liga.
This season, Jude has scored 13 goals and provided three assists in 13 matches for Blancos.
Note: for the third year in a row, the Kop Trophy goes to a football player from the grand Spanish Primera League. In previous years it was owned by Barcelona talents Pedri and Gavi.
The winner of the Best Young Player award was announced at the 2023 Ballon d’Or ceremony, which is currently taking place at the Chatelet Theater in Paris.
