Midfielder disqualified for betting on sportJuventus » Nicolo Fagioli will sign a new contract with the club until 2028, reports journalist Fabrizio Romano.
As the insider notes, the Turin club thus expresses its support for the Italian midfielder, whose contract expires in the summer of 2026. The footballer’s salary will be increased.
The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) previously suspended Fagioli for 12 months in the betting case, 5 of which were replaced by alternative orders, and fined him 12.5 thousand euros. Under alternative orders, the 22-year-old footballer will have to follow a therapeutic plan for at least six months and submit to a series of 10 public meetings during which he will share his experience. Meetings must take place within 5 months on the basis of amateur sports associations, federal territorial centers and gambling addiction rehabilitation centers.
This season, Fagioli has made six appearances for Juventus in the Italian league, in which he provided one assist.
