Other finalists included Yassin Bounou (Sevilla/Al-Hilal), Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid), Ederson (Manchester City) and Marc-Andre ter Stegen (Barcelona).
France Football magazine launched this award in September 2019 and it is named after Lev Yashin, who remains the only goalkeeper in history to win the Ballon d’Or in 1963.
