Myshenko: Victoria went through LNZ, Minai and Ingulets in the Ukrainian Cup. This deserves applause

Victoria midfielder – about the match with Shakhtar in the 1/4 finals of the Ukrainian Cup

Midfielder of Sumy Victoria Bogdan Myshenko commented on the game with Donetsk Shakhtar in the quarterfinals of the Ukrainian Cup, and also spoke about the team’s tasks in the First League.

“Both I and my partners knew very well what kind of opponent we were facing in this cup match,” Myshenko noted. “Everyone carefully prepared for this fight. We are glad that we could test our strength against Shakhtar. Let’s remember that Victoria was assembled only three months ago. The way we performed in the current Ukrainian Cup makes me proud of our team. We passed LNZ, Minai and Ingulets. This deserves applause.

— Shakhtar scored in the 17th minute of the match, and did it become even more difficult for you to play?

— A miner is a miner. This high level is felt. It was hard for us, but we gave it our all.

“It seemed like there was a lot of rough play on the football field.” Is it so?

– This is football, no one wanted to injure their opponents. These are emotions.

— Do you know many of the miners’ players personally?

– Only some. Previously, I played in Donetsk Metallurg, Alexandria and crossed paths on the football field with most of the current Gornyak squad.

— Bogdan, let’s move on to Victoria’s affairs in the first league. Do you have a goal to reach the Premier League?

— We only got together in the summer. Our task is to think only about the next match. But the attitude of the club’s leaders towards the players is only pleasing. Our leaders created excellent conditions for us, both in the training process and in preparation for matches. We are trying, and it shows. Now our attention is again on the Ukrainian Championship. On November 5th we are hosting SK Poltava.
