Yaremenko: I had different periods in Veres. Twice led the team to the First League and once reached almost the Premier League

In the 15th round, Trostyanets won an important and much-needed away victory in Odessa. Three points is largely due to the attack group represented by Shapoval, Prodanov and Yaremenko. The latter was directly involved in both goals of FC Trostyanets. In the debut of the match, he opened the scoring, and subsequently took part in the second scoring combination.

The hero of the fifteenth round in the second league, Anton Yaremenko, shared his impressions of Trostyanets’ debut away victory and recalled his first steps in football.

— How important is it for you to be recognized as the best player of the tour?

— First of all, team victories are important to me, but personal achievements also motivate me with new achievements. I will try to bring even more benefit to Trostyanets.

– Real Pharma is playing as poorly as possible this season. Did you understand that it was in this match that you could finally break your unsuccessful away streak?

– Indeed, we didn’t do much in away matches, but there were reasons for that. The main thing is that we were finally able to break this series. We went into the game with maximum spirit and tried to score three points. We are happy that everything worked out.

– Already in the seventh minute after Gezelo’s pass, you shot into the near corner and opened the scoring. Did the quick goal help?

– We wanted to score as soon as possible so that we could feel more confident. In every game we try to score a quick goal, but it doesn’t always work out. After this goal we had more confidence in our own abilities.

– Before the break, you played the score wisely, but did not take risks in attack. In your opinion, was such pragmatism justified or could they have played more aggressively?

– We played according to the score, although we could have scored more in the first half. We still need to work on execution, but the main thing is that we create chances.

– You won thanks to the most effective play of the attack group. Do you feel that the team has improved in attack during the season?

– I would not divide the team into defense and attack. A team is one mechanism. If the attack scores, it means the progress of the entire team. We work every day to improve our game.

– Shapoval, Prodanov and Yaremenko showed their best side in this round. Is team play one of Trostyanets’ greatest strengths?

– In my opinion, Trostyanets is famous for its team play, but there is still a lot of work to do. We need to improve in every component of the game and improve our places in the table.

– In the game with the Odessa team, you were involved in both goals. Is this your best game this season so far?

– Indeed, this is my most productive game this season, but I hope that the best match is still ahead. I will try to bring as much benefit to my team as possible.

— This season you have scored four goals in 14 matches. Is this a satisfactory indicator for you? Did you expect better?

— For a striker it is important to score in every match. Of course, I wanted to have more goals to my name. We have what we have. I hope that I can spend the final part of 2023 productively. I am gradually revealing my potential, but there is still a lot to work on.

— Does your team have the potential to gain a foothold at least within the tournament table?

– In my opinion, the current place in the table does not correspond to our capabilities and potential. We try to rise as high as possible. We hope that we can achieve this.

– Do you remember your first steps in football? Tell us about your first coaches.

– I took my first steps in football at the Vorskla Youth Sports School. First coach Kasymov V.A. I am grateful to him for his faith and help. Prokopinenko V.Yu – the former coach of the reserve team supported me at the right time and opened the door to professional football.

— Perhaps the most productive performances for you so far were in Veres? What can you remember from that period in your career?

— I had different periods in Veres. Twice he led the team to the First League and once reached almost the Premier League. Unfortunately, then an injury got in the way. Overall, the period in Veres was interesting.

– Why do you think you never got a chance to play in the UPL? Were there any offers from elite clubs?

“The injury still took its toll. I was very close to the UPL, but had no luck playing there. Perhaps I will still be able to play at the highest level in the future.

– What goals do you set for yourself for this season? Do you still have ambitions to play at a higher level in the future?

— The goal for the season is to score goals and win. I have ambitions. I hope that I can still realize my full potential.
