Al-Hilal forward Neymar planned surgery on Thursday, November 2, in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The footballer is awaiting permission from the club to fly to Brazil.
Al-Hilal planned to carry out the player’s operation in Paris. However, Neymar insists that Brazil team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar operate on him. The specialist was responsible for surgery on the forward’s foot in 2018. Lasmar was also one of the doctors who performed procedures on the player’s ankle in March 2023.
Recall that Neymar suffered a knee injury in a qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup against Uruguay. The Brazilian striker was substituted late in the first half and left the field in tears on a stretcher.
