Girona snatched victory over a Spanish fourth division club San Roque in an away match King’s Cup – 2:1.
The teams spent the first half without scoring goals. The guests managed to score immediately after the break, with Valery scoring the goal. However, San Roque came back three minutes later thanks to a precise strike from Mohamed Mizzian.
Girona managed to snatch victory in stoppage time. Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbikwho came on as a substitute in the second half, played with Savio, after which the Brazilian made a solo raid from his own half of the field and scored the winning goal.
The entire match was played by Ukrainian Viktor Tsygankov as part of Girona. Substitute Dovbik scored his third assist in 11 matches for the Catalan club. The forward also scored five goals.
Girona ranks second in La Liga, behind Real Madrid in additional indicators. In the next match, the team of Dovbik and Tsygankov will play against Osasuna on November 4.
