The coach complains about the Ukrainian’s late arrival at the club and his incomplete adaptation to the team, but believes in Roman’s progress
Head coach Valencia Ruben Baraja is going to provide the attacker Roman Yaremchuk enough playing time in the match Spanish Cup against Logronesa. The coach hopes that this will allow the Ukrainian to quickly reveal his potential.
“Yaremchuk is one of those who plays less, and I hope that tomorrow he will get playing minutes, increase his confidence by having a good game and feel like a bigger part of the team.”
“He joined the team late and has not yet adapted to what the coach wants. It will take some time. Once he gets playing time in the Cup, he will be able to show a good level and give us what he has.”
Yaremchuk moved to Valencia on the last day of the summer transfer window on loan from Bruges. The Ukrainian played five matches in the Spanish Championship (two from the first minutes), but did not distinguish himself with effective actions.
Baraja has repeatedly spoken out in support of the 27-year-old forward. So, in October, he spoke about his desire to see “the best version of Yaremchuk” as soon as possible, and later noted his performance in the fight against Cadiz.
Tomorrow, November 2, Valencia will play away against Logrones in the 1/16 finals of the Spanish Cup. The meeting starts at 21:00.
