Attack Gremio Luis Suarez will leave the team in December at the end of the 2023 season. The 36-year-old Uruguayan will join as a free agent Inter Miami.
Suarez has already communicated with the management of the MLS club. The parties will enter into a one-year agreement with an option to extend for another season. Luiz is expected to travel to Miami in December to iron out additional contract details.
Let us remember that back in July Suarez was ready to buy out his contract from the Brazilian Gremio in order to join Lionel Messi and other ex-Barcelona partners who play for the Miami club.
In 2023, Suarez made 46 appearances for Grêmio in all competitions, scoring 19 goals and 16 assists.
Inter’s owner is David Beckham. The American team also features Ukrainian Sergei Krivtsov.
Inter Miami finished the MLS regular season in 14th place in the Eastern Conference and did not qualify for the playoffs. In August the team won the Leagues Cup.
