The player of the Ukrainian national team gave a long interview to the press service of the English Premier League.

As a child, Alexander Zinchenko always wanted to be like Andrei Shevchenko. The Arsenal footballer spoke about this in a long interview with the press service of the English Premier League.

In addition, journalists asked the player of the Ukrainian national team about the most difficult opponent in the Premier League, as well as what Zinchenko would be if not for football.

– Alexander, if you had not been a football player, who would you have been and why?

– Actually, this is a difficult question, because I always dreamed of becoming a football player. I don’t know, maybe I want to be an actor. Something like Brad Pitt, because our faces are quite similar.

– Alexander, you are a very versatile player. How many positions can you play?

– If the coach needs me as a goalkeeper, I think 11.

– Do you have a favorite position?

– Listen, I have an answer to this question. I’m often asked where I want to play: in midfield, like in the Ukrainian national team, or as a left midfielder, like in Arsenal. I would say that I enjoy playing as a full-back and as a midfielder.

– Who was your toughest opponent while playing in the Premier League?

– Mohamed Salah. He has speed, power, and is a very dangerous player.

– Who was your childhood football idol?

– For all Ukrainian children of my generation, Andrei Shevchenko is their idol. We tried to inherit when we were playing in the yard.

– How did you feel when you played under his leadership?

“I never dreamed that I would meet him personally, that I would be able to work with him. I’m still very lucky to have him.

We remind you that Arsenal, with Zinchenko in their lineup, lost earlier in the English League Cup.
