Competition Organization Commission French Professional Football League LFP made a decision on the fate of the scandalous match of the 10th round of League 1 Marseille — Lyonwhich did not take place on October 29 due to an attack by fans on the visiting team bus.
The new date for the match between Marseille and Lyon is December 6. The LFP will determine the location of the bout at a later date to ensure the safety of all participants in the bout.
Let us remember that some time before the match, Marseille fans attacked the Lyon bus that was taking the team to the Velodrome. They threw stones at the vehicle. As a result, some windows were broken and some Lyon representatives were injured.
Weavers head coach Fabio Grosso was especially affected and was rushed to hospital. The 45-year-old Italian was taken to hospital where he received more than 10 stitches on his face.
Lyon is at the bottom of the Ligue 1 standings with three points. Marseille is in ninth place with 12 points.
