Yesterday, during Ascoli’s 125th birthday celebrations, the top ten fans’ favorite players of all time (1,400 of whom voted in the competition) were revealed, as well as the Bianconeri’s permanent squad. The top ten is headed by a Brazilian striker. Walter Casagrande, who scored 38 goals in 96 matches from 1987 to 1991 and was the protagonist of the promotion to Serie A in the 1990–91 season, followed by Moro and Campanini. The top ten also included such well-known names as Pasinato, Novellino, Anastasi, Bierhoff and Barzagli.

Instead, Pazzagli is in a constant formation between the posts, with the former Juventus man in defence. Andrea Barzagli and Inter fan Federico DiMarco joined by Anzivino and Scorsa.
