The Zarya defender will no longer play in 2023
As reported by TaToTake, the defender Zari Roman Vantukh surgery awaits.
The footballer was injured in the 12th round match of the UPL against Polesie (0:1). He was diagnosed with a torn shoulder ligament.
The club and the player jointly decided which treatment option to prefer – surgical or non-surgical. As a result, the first path was chosen so that one of the team’s key players had time to recover for the winter training camp.
25-year-old Vantuch has been playing for Zarya since July 2022, played 38 matches, scored one goal, gave four assists (two this season). In the 2023/24 campaign, Roman played all matches except the last one, in which he was injured.
Zarya with 9 points after ten rounds is in 14th place in the UPL. In addition, the Lugansk team were eliminated from the Ukrainian Cup, losing devastatingly (1:4) to Chernomorets.
In the next round, Valery Kriventsov’s team will fight Veres on November 5.
