If the authorities ultimately decide that they cannot guarantee the safety of the 250 Lille supporters planning to travel to Marseille, the club will have to take note of this decision in order to protect its supporters from possible unrest. “Lille regrets, however, that on the eve of the match and while certain supporters are already in Marseille or on the way, they become collateral victims of this delay in decision-making,” the press release said.
The meeting between Marseille and Lille will take place on Saturday November 4.
