Dynamo President will soon announce who will lead the team
The president Dynamo Igor Surkis thanked the ex-coach of the Kiev team Mircea Lucescu for working in the club. Surkis also said that he would soon announce the name of the new mentor.
“Mircea Lucescu is a great coach who has achieved a lot in both Ukrainian and European football. I won’t lie, his decision to resign from the position of head coach came as a surprise to us.”
“Lucescu has always enjoyed the respect and trust of our club, I am sincerely grateful to Mister for his work at Dynamo Kiev. On the path that we walked together, there were victories and achievements; Lucescu remained with the club during this difficult war time.”
“However, Dynamo is moving on. In the near future we will announce who will head the coaching staff of our team. The task that I set for the team does not change – we must win the championship.”
“I wish Mircea Lucescu and his family health and well-being,” said the club president.
Lucescu resigned after Dynamo’s defeat in the match with Shakhtar (0:1). The coach announced that he had decided to end his coaching career.
Lucescu took over Dynamo in the summer of 2020. In the first season under the leadership of the Romanian, the Kiev team became the champion of Ukraine, and also won the Ukrainian Cup and Super Cup.
Dynamo is in seventh place in the UPL, gaining 16 points in 10 matches. The white-blues will play their next match on November 12 against Krivbass.
