“2026 World Cup? Considering my age at that time, it seems difficult – but we will see,” Messi said, as quoted by journalist Fabrizio Romano on his Telegram channel.
The Argentina national team leads the South American 2026 World Cup qualifying group with 12 points after four rounds. Brazil, Uruguay and Venezuela share second place with seven points each.
