Shovkovskiy has worked as an assistant to the Romanian coach since January 2023. The Ukrainian was acting as Dynamo’s head coach when, at the end of last season, Lucescu was forced to undergo surgery on his leg and was on sick leave.

In the past, Shovkovsky was also an assistant to Andrey Shevchenko and Alexander Petrakov in the Ukrainian national team.

Emil Karas, Oleg Gusev and Mikhail Mikhailov will work on Shovkovsky’s coaching staff at Dynamo.
