The transfer of Eliaquim Mangala from Porto in 2014 was recognized as the worst transfer in the history of “Citizens”.
Second place went to the transfer of striker Wilfried Bony from Swansea in 2015, and third place went to Jack Rodwell from Everton in 2012.
Also in the top ten are: Benjamin Mwaruwari (transferred from Portsmouth in 2008), Jo (transferred from CSKA in 2008), Benjamin Mendy (transferred from Monaco in 2017), Martin Demichelis (transferred from Atlético Madrid in 2013), Roque Santa Cruz. (signed from Blackburn in 2009), Georgios Samaras (signed from Heerenveen in 2006) and Jerome Boateng (signed from Hamburg in 2010).
