Real Madrid denied negotiations with Mbappe

The media again reported contacts between the player and the club

Real denied the fact of negotiations with the forward PSG Kylian Mbappe.

“Given the information recently published by various media about alleged negotiations between our club and Mbappe, Real Madrid would like to declare that this information is completely untrue. There were no such negotiations with a player who has a valid contract with PSG,” reads the official communiqué of Madrid.

Mbappe has been playing for PSG since the 2017/2018 season. Together with the team, the footballer became the winner of the French Championship six times, the French Cup winner three times, the French League Cup champion twice, and the French Super Cup winner three times.

In the summer, it was reported that Real Madrid had agreed a deal with Mbappe on a one-year salary of €50 million. The striker’s clause will be one billion euros.

At the same time, the PSG management put Kylian up for transfer due to contract uncertainty. Mbappe was ruled out of the team’s pre-season tour in Japan and South Korea.

In mid-August, the forward returned to training with PSG. In the summer of 2024, Kylian’s contract with the Parisian club expires, after which Mbappe can move to any club on a free basis.

This season, 24-year-old Kylian has scored 12 goals and provided one assist in 13 matches for the Parisians in all competitions.

Real are in second place in La Liga. PSG leads Ligue 1.
