Athletistic/Football. Brazilian club Fluminense earned the right to participate in the 2023 Club World Cup thanks to their victory in the Copa Libertadores. Seven teams will participate in the tournament.

In addition to Fluminense, these are the English Manchester City, the Mexican Leon, the Japanese Urawa Red Diamonds, the Egyptian Al Ahly, the New Zealand Auckland City and the Saudi Al Ittihad.

The Brazilian and English clubs will begin their performances from the semi-finals of the tournament. At this stage, Manchester City will face the winner of the second round match between Leon and Urawa Red Diamonds. Fluminense will face the winner of the match between Al Ahly and the team that won the first round match between Al Ittihad and Auckland City.

The World Club Championship will be held in Jeddah from December 12 to 22.

This will be the last tournament in the current format. From 2025, it is expected that 32 teams will participate in the Club World Championship.
