Brazilian midfielder Anthony could leave the English Premier League and return to his homeland.
Brazilian Anthony’s career at Manchester United may have been short-lived and unsuccessful. We remind you that last summer the winger joined the Mancunians from Ajax for an insane 100 million euros. However, since then I haven’t been able to play at a proper level.
Today the authoritative British publication The Mirror reported that the Red Devils management are ready to loan the right midfielder to Brazilian Flamengo as part of a deal for striker Gabriel Barbosa.
The latter can be bought for 20 million British pounds, and the contract with the Brazilian club is valid until the end of 2024. Flamengo is interested in renting Manchester United player Anthony, so they can consider an option in exchange.
Note that in 2023, Gabriela Barbosa scored 20 goals and 4 assists in 55 matches for Flamengo. Things were worse for Anton: he still failed to make any impact in 10 matches of the 2023/24 season.
