Maksimov’s team rose to second place in the UPL
Dnepr-1 minimally beat Alexandria in the 13th round match Ukrainian Premier League – 1:0.
Yuri Maximov’s team took the lead in the 34th minute. Alexander Filippov scored his fifth goal in the championship.
After the break, Alexey Gutsulyak increased the Dnipro team’s lead, but the goal was canceled due to offside. Alexandria left the field without scoring goals.
Note that the match lasted almost 5 hours. The fight in Dnepr began at 17:15 (15 minutes later than planned) due to air anxiety. For the same reason, the match was suspended three times in the second half, the final whistle sounded at 21:52.
Dnepr-1 rose to second place in the UPL, behind Krivbass in additional indicators. Maksimov’s team is one point ahead of Polesie and three points ahead of Shakhtar, but the Miners have two games in hand.
Alexandria extended its winless streak in the championship to 11 matches (4 draws and 7 losses). The citizens are in 14th position with 10 points.
In the next round, Dnepr-1 will play against Shakhtar on November 12. Alexandria will host Veres on November 11.
