The refereeing team disallowed five goals
Chelsea beat in the London derby Tottenham in the away match of the 11th round English Premier League.
Spurs took the lead in the 6th minute through Dejan Kulusevski. Chelsea came back in the 35th minute – Cole Palmer was accurate from the 11-meter mark. When the penalty was awarded, Spurs defender Christian Romero was sent off.
Note that in the first half, chief referee Michael Oliver disallowed four goals: one from Tottenham and three from Chelsea.
After the break, Spurs were down to nine men – Destiny Udoji received the second yellow card. The visitors took advantage of their numerical majority and took the lead in the 75th minute after a precise shot from Nicholas Jackson.
A few minutes later, Tottenham came back, but again the referee, with the help of VAR, canceled the goal. In injury time, the same Jackson put an end to the match, scoring two more goals – 4:1.
Winger Chelsea Mikhail Mudrik came on as a substitute in the 58th minute, and received a yellow card in the 89th. This was the Ukrainian’s first fight after a minor injury, due to which he missed two matches.
Chelsea scored 15 points and moved up to tenth place in the Premier League. Tottenham suffered their first defeat in the championship and remained in second position with 26 points.
In the next round, Chelsea will host Manchester City on November 12. Tottenham will play away against Wolverhampton on November 11.
