“A great tournament. The games close to the championship are good rivals. I think we had a good tournament, we didn’t lose to anyone – penalties don’t count. We had a quality game against CSKA” , Krotov said.
Nizhny Novgorod has played three Cup matches. On June 21, they played with Zenit (1:1 (3:5, penalty shootout)), on July 1 – with Sochi (1:1 (2:4, penalty shootout)) and on July 7 – with CSKA (2:0). With 5 points, Pari NN currently sits second in the cup standings, but Sochi could leapfrog them if they beat CSKA in the final game of the tournament, which will take place on July 7.
