Traore: I’ll be back on the pitch soon

Forward Gornyakov is successfully recovering from injury and surgery

Attack Shakhtar Lassina Traore spoke about how his recovery is going after a serious injury.

“Everything is fine, I feel good. I’m making progress every day. I’m looking forward to joining the team.”

“The recovery was very difficult, because I was alone in Kyiv, and then in Amsterdam. Now I’m with the team, having a good time and looking forward to playing.”

“Good emotions. I feel motivated because when you are not on the field, you always want to come back and work harder for it. I’m eager to play again.”

“When to return to the field? Soon. It all depends on my body, on what the doctor allows me to do. But I can say that it will be soon.”

Let us remember that at the beginning of the season, Traore received a serious injury – he was diagnosed with a torn quadriceps tendon. On August 22, the forward underwent a successful operation in Finland. It was previously reported that the player will miss up to four months, and a full recovery is possible by the spring part of the season.

The 22-year-old Burkinabe footballer has joined the team in Hamburg, where Shakhtar will play the fourth season of the Champions League against Barcelona. The match will take place today at 19:45.

Shakhtar are third in Group H of the Champions League with three points. Barcelona are in the lead with 9 points from three matches.

In the UPL, Marin Pusic’s team is fourth with a three-point gap from the leaders (Krivbass and Dnepr-1), but has two games in reserve.
