Mikhail is not against reuniting with his friend in Chelsea
Midfielder Shakhtar And Ukrainian national team Georgy Sudakov in an interview with the English The Telegraph, he spoke about communication with an ex-partner in the Donetsk club Mikhail Mudrik and the latter’s advice regarding George’s future career.
“Misha is my close friend, and we communicate a lot. I have already received some valuable advice from him in case I move to England. How to adapt, how difficult it can be to get into the pace of the game, so for me these are very useful tips.”
“He recommends moving to a top championship like the Premier League as quickly as possible, because to improve your game it helps you adapt faster, both physically and psychologically.”
“Misha has huge potential, and perhaps one of the reasons why you haven’t seen him at the top level in England yet is that, according to him, there is no player like Sudakov around who constantly gives him top gear!”
Let us remind you that Mudryk moved to Chelsea from Shakhtar in January 2023. The transfer amount was 70 million euros excluding bonuses. The Ukrainian winger took a long time to adapt; it took him several months to score his first goal for the Blues.
In October 2023, 22-year-old Mikhail scored twice for Chelsea. One of those goals, a cross against Arsenal, was voted the Blues’ best goal of the past month.
21-year-old Sudakov is believed to be one of Juventus’ priority targets for the upcoming transfer window. Also showing interest in George are Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Brighton and a number of clubs from Portugal, including Benfica of Ukrainian Anatoly Trubin. The Donetsk club, according to press reports, values its talent at 40 million euros.
This season, 21-year-old Sudakov has scored three goals and provided one assist in 12 matches for Shakhtar. Recently, the midfielder scored his debut goal for the Ukrainian national team in a match with North Macedonia (2:0).
Shakhtar are in fourth place in the Ukrainian Championship, three points behind the two leaders and with two games in hand. Chelsea are tenth in the Premier League standings with 15 points after ten rounds.
Today, November 7, Shakhtar in Hamburg will host Barcelona in the 4th round of the Champions League. The meeting starts at 19:45.
