Belik’s team again lost to their Catalan peers.
Shakhtar U-19 lost disastrously to peers from Barcelona in a formal home match of the 4th round of the group stage UEFA Youth League – 0:3.
In the match, which was hosted by German Norderstedt, the young Miners tried to cling to the result against the group favorite, to whom they had previously lost away with a score of 0:2.
At the end of the first half, Barcelona led with a minimal score – Neil Caldero scored in the opening game. Oscar Lopez’s team managed to close the result in the first third of the second half. Goals from Daniel Rodriguez and Albert Navarro made it possible to bring the score to a large one, and immediately after that, Alexei Belik’s team remained in the minority – Anton Glushchenko was sent off from the field.
Shakhtar U-19 suffered a third defeat in the group and remains third with three points. Barcelona continues to go without losses – the young Catalans have already secured their place in at least the 1/16 finals of the tournament.
Let us remind you that today there will be a match between the first teams of Shakhtar and Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League. The meeting will take place in neighboring Hamburg, starting at 19:45.
