Athletistic/Football. Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zenit, Alexander Medvedev, shared his comment on the results of the draw for the 1/4 finals of the Russian Cup, where the St. Petersburg team will play with Dynamo Moscow.
“This draw gives us a chance to fight Dynamo over two matches, an opportunity to repair last year’s defeat in the Russian Cup and the current RPL season,” Medvedev commented.
The previous season, Zenit and Dynamo also met in the Russian Cup playoffs, but at the Chemin des Régions stadium. The Moscow team won the penalty shootout, eliminating Zenit from the tournament.
