Keeper happy with triumph over Barcelona
Donetsk goalkeeper Shakhtar Dmitry Riznyk commented on the victory over Barcelona (1:0) in the fourth round of the group stage of the Champions League.
“Keeping a clean sheet is very nice for a goalkeeper, but the team fought to the last to win this match. It’s very nice to beat such a great opponent, a world-class team. We made a small sensation.”
“At the beginning of the match there was an unpleasant collision – I hit a muscle. Thanks to our staff, our doctors – they patched me up a little, after which I continued the game. The support was insane. I thank all the fans who believed in us. It was very cool.”
“We will fight to reach the knockout stages of the Champions League. We are not considering third place. We will prove everything on the field,” the goalkeeper concluded.
Shakhtar scored 6 points in four rounds of Group H of the Champions League. The miners are in third place, ahead of Porto and Barcelona with 9 points.
In the next round, Shakhtar will host Antwerp, and Barcelona will play Porto at home. Both matches will take place on November 28.
