An official decision on Mircea is expected soon
Romanian ex-mentor of Kyiv Dynamo Mircea Lucescu may continue its activities in Dinamo Bucharest.
“Negotiations are underway, and we will easily find a common denominator. But we don’t have anything concrete yet. We are doing our homework, and if there is something to report, we will do so with great joy. I can’t discuss such things.”
“We are still in the early stages. I cannot afford to talk about such a legend as Mircea Lucescu. How can I say whether I give my consent or not for him to come?” said club administrator Andrei Nicolescu.
Lucescu resigned after Dynamo’s defeat in the match with Shakhtar (0:1). The Romanian specialist has led the Kyiv team since 2020. In the first season under the leadership of the Romanian, the white-blues became the champion of Ukraine, and also won the Ukrainian Cup and Super Cup.
Alexander Shovkovsky has been appointed to the position of acting head coach of Dynamo Kyiv. The white-blues will play their next match on November 12 against Krivbass.
Note that Lucescu previously worked as a coach at Dynamo Bucharest from 1985 to 1990. During this period, the team won the Romanian championship and twice triumphed in the country’s Cup.
Currently, Dinamo Bucharest is in 15th place in the Romanian championship standings, having achieved only two wins in 15 games.
