Usik and Fury will most likely fight in person next year
Alexander Krasyukpromoter of the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Alexandra Usikashared his thoughts on holding a fight with the holder of the WBC belt Tyson Fury for the title of absolute champion.
“Usik is a wonderful professional. He knows all of Tyson Fury’s weak points. Usik is always confident in what he does. Otherwise there would be no place for him in boxing.”
“Alexander became the absolute world champion in the first heavyweight division. And now he has entered the race for the title of absolute heavyweight champion and has only one belt left to win.”
The fight between Usik and Fury was planned to be organized on December 23 (both the Ukrainian champion himself and his promoter Alexander Krasyuk insisted on this date), but the “Gypsy King” will not have time to prepare for this time after the fight with ex-UFC champion Francis Ngannou.
Krasyuk recently announced that the unification fight between Usyk and WBC belt holder Tyson Fury will not take place on December 23 and will be held in early 2024. The reason for the transfer was the damage Fury suffered in his last fight with Ngannou.
