The ex-footballer of the national team and well-known volunteer considers the statement of the ex-Rada deputy inappropriate.
There should be a state language in Ukraine, however, Russian-speaking soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine should not be insulted, because they risked their lives for the peaceful life of all Ukrainians. This is how the former national team striker Roman Zozulya responded to the statements of the former people’s representative Irina Farion about the fighters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
He also advises Farion to keep quiet and pray more for the Ukrainian army.
“In Ukraine there should be a state language – Ukrainian. Truth. I am for the development, popularization and strengthening of the legislative framework that will facilitate the final transition to Ukrainian in all areas.
At the same time, I believe that a person who allows himself to humiliate and insult those thanks to whom Ukraine has held and opposed Russia for 10 years is a self-aware provocateur and saboteur.
In Azov and in general, people close to me serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including my father. And I and my children will respect each of them and thank them, regardless of the language they use to protect us.
Most of our fighters do not have the opportunity, time and desire to give interviews and advice, but each of them literally burns everything from our land, putting their own lives at risk. Therefore, sometimes it is very useful for some to stop crying, or even better, to pray for those who did not allow Russian to be the official language here.
Glory to the defenders of Ukraine!” Zozulya wrote on Facebook.
We remind you that the former world boxing champion Alexander Usik dedicated a poem to Farion.
