The Shakhtar winger scored the only goal against Dynamo, the Bosnian coach made his debut in the Ukrainian championship with a victory
Winger Shakhtar Alexander Zubkov recognized as the best player of the 13th round Ukrainian Premier League. Mentor Gornyakov Marino Pusic became the best coach.
Let us remind you that in the confrontation between two Ukrainian giants, Shakhtar won a minimal away victory over Dynamo (1:0) thanks to Zubkov’s goal in the 53rd minute. This match was the debut in the UPL for the new coach of the Donetsk club Marino Pusic.
After the match, the 78-year-old coach of the Kiev team, ex-coach of Shakhtar Mircea Lucescu, resigned. Alexander Shovkovsky has been appointed to the position of acting head coach of Dynamo Kyiv.
Pusic repeated the achievement of Darijo Srna, who for a short time headed Shakhtar with the prefix “i. O.” before the Bosnian arrived. The Croatian was recognized as the best coach of the 11th round of the Premier League based on the victory over LNZ (3:0).
Previously, Pusic was recognized as the best coach of the 13th round of the Ukrainian Premier League according to the All-Ukrainian Association of Football Coaches.
On November 7, Shakhtar sensationally beat Barcelona (1:0) in the Champions League. In the UPL, Marin Pusic’s team is fourth with a three-point gap from the leaders (Krivbass and Dnepr-1), but has two games in reserve. In the next round on November 12, Shakhtar will host Dnepr-1.
